After years of reporting on politics, health and general news, Lisa edited The Southern Courier, The Mosman Daily and The Manly Daily. She started at news.com.au as deputy editor in 2012, before being appointed editor and now editor-in-chief. Fun fact: When Lisa was 15, she appeared in popular ABC mini-series Brides of Christ. Kerry has been a journalist for more than 15 years. She started her career at The Sydney Morning Herald, followed by a stint at The Australian Women’s Weekly. She came to news.com.au in 2018 as Commissioning Editor, before becoming News Editor and then Sections Editor. She helped spearhead news.com.au's groundbreaking #LetHerSpeak and #JusticeShouldn'tHurt campaigns, which have won a News Award, a Kennedy Award and a Walkley Award.

Liz is news.com.au's deputy editor. She began her career in magazines at The Australian Women's Weekly, going on to work in newspapers before joining news.com.au. She started as a senior reporter in 2014 before becoming news editor and then deputy. Liz has appeared on national TV and radio as a commentator discussing news stories, politics and social issues.

Rohan has worked as a journalist and news editor for the past 12 years after studying Journalism at Monash University in Melbourne and beginning his career in a radio newsroom. He mentored journalism students at Charles Sturt University's National Radio News before moving to Sydney to work in newspapers. Rohan joined news.com.au as a journalist before becoming news editor in 2016. He moved to Melbourne in 2018 where he covers stories that matter to all Victorians.

Jai has been with News Corp since 2005. Originally a sports journalist, he covered all the local teams in his hometown of Adelaide before moving to Sydney in 2014. He helped grow news.com.au’s sports audience to the largest in the country while attending events like the Olympics, World Cup and even McGregor-Mayweather. In 2021, he transitioned to an audience role and now helps more readers discover news.com.au’s content as our Head of Audience.

Andrew Backhouse is the audience editor at news.com.au. He has worked as a journalist for 11 years. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science at the University of Queensland in 2010. He is currently a Juris Doctor student at the University of Southern Queensland.

Stephanie has spent 20 years reporting and editing for News Corp, Fairfax Media and Bauer Media since getting her start typing the TV times at The Advertiser in Adelaide. She specialises in scepticism but believes her border collie every time he tells her he hasn't been fed.

Daniel got his start as a reporter with the Daily Mail in 2015 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication majoring in journalism at UTS. He's not embarrassed to admit he's a TikTok addict, is a diehard Manly Sea Eagles supporter, hates crossing either bridge (Harbour or Spit) and loves the buzz of working in a digital newsroom.

Ben has worked as a journalist for over a decade. He got his start after completing a Bachelor Degree in Journalism at Cardiff University in 2011. He then wrote for a newspaper in the north-west of England. Ben has written for a number of NewsCorp Australia's Sydney newspapers and joined news.com.au as a reporter in 2017. He began working as an afternoon news editor in 2022 and moved into a news editor role in 2023.

Charlotte takes care of all things entertainment, lifestyle, finance and travel at news.com.au. She actually began her career at news.com.au back in 2011, landing a gig as an entertainment reporter. After a few wonderful years, Charlotte headed to New York City as US Correspondent for news.com.au, which led to six years in the Big Apple and a number of editorial roles within News Corp. Upon returning to Australia, she has worked as acting editor for Kidspot, before coming full circle back to news.com.au in her current role.

Lauren has been a journalist for more than a decade, since graduating with a degree in communications from the University of Technology, Sydney. After completing her cadetship with NewsCorp, she worked at several of Sydney's NewsLocal newspapers and as a senior reporter at mX, covering everything from national news and politics to travel, lifestyle and entertainment. She joined news.com.au as a news reporter in 2016, and is now the site’s Afternoon Homepage Editor.

Brooke covers a broad range of general news including health, human interest, environment, current affairs and social media. She started at news.com.au after shifting from Yahoo News Australia in June 2021, having previously worked with Daily Mail Australia. In 2017, Brooke moved “over east” from her hometown, Bunbury in West Australia, where she worked for a regional newspaper after graduating with a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) from Curtin University in 2015.

Riah Matthews is news.com.au's commissioning editor which means she works with a team of talented freelancers to produce opinion pieces, analysis articles and expert commentary. She got her start as a features writer at the Nottingham Post in the UK before moving to Australia in 2014 where she worked for That's Life magazine and became deputy editor. She's a proud British-Australian dual citizen.

Samantha Maiden is the political editor for news.com.au. She has also won three Walkleys for her coverage of federal politics including the Gold Walkley in 2021. She was also previously awarded the Graham Perkin Australian Journalist of the Year, Kennedy Awards Journalist of the Year and Press Gallery Journalist of the Year. A press gallery veteran, she has covered federal politics for more than 20 years.

Ally is Youth Editor at news.com.au and has been working as a news reporter for news.com.au since 2017. She graduated with a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) from Charles Sturt University that same year and started working at news.com.au as an intern during her final year of studies. Since landing a spot on the team, Ally has written about a multitude of different topics from online dating scams and road rules to the COVID-19 pandemic and breaking news.

Vic has worked as a photo editor for more than 15 years, spending the last five at news.com.au as picture editor. She got her start working in the odd world of a paparazzi photo agency before moving into photo editing at women's magazines Woman's Day and NW, followed by working in digital news for the launch of Daily Mail Australia. She has no problem telling the difference between the Olsen twins and can name more Kardashian family members than she cares to.

Alice is an award-winning Senior Content Producer who has successfully turned consuming the internet into her full-time job. She spearheads news.com.au’s TikTok account and cross-platform video content, so if you catch her scrolling social media on the clock it’s (probably) for work.

Benedict is an award-winning journalist and news.com.au’s US Correspondent, based in New York. He moved to Australia in 2006 and worked in corporate communications and journalism becoming assistant editor of LGBTI publication the Star Observer before joining news.com.au in 2015. He writes on a range of topics from weather to retail and infrastructure. Benedict has won a Kennedy Award for environmental reporting and was nominated for another, for breaking news, in 2020. He has been nominated twice for an ACON Honour Award for his writing on the LGBTI community.

Andrew was an FM radio producer for seven years before joining news.com.au as an entertainment writer in 2013. He has since covered major events including the Academy Awards (which he has attended twice), the annual G'Day LA gala, Melbourne Cup, Logies and the ACRAs (radio awards). Andrew, or "Bucky" as he’s more commonly know, currently hosts news.com.au's daily news podcasts, From The Newsroom and I’ve Got News For You.

Sam covers politics, with the occasional foray into entertainment news. He previously worked in the Canberra press gallery and as news.com.au's US correspondent. Sam led our coverage of the 2016 and 2020 US elections, and hit the campaign trail for the Australian federal elections in 2019 and 2022 - but you're probably more likely to recognise him as our resident Game of Thrones nerd.

Alexis Carey has been a reporter for more than 10 years, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communications from the University of Sydney in 2009 before landing a role at her local paper in Griffith, NSW. Alexis has since worked for NewsCorp Australia's local news titles and at the Mamamia Women's Network before taking a career break to travel. She joined news.com.au in 2017 as a finance reporter and then finance editor before joining the news team in 2020.

Frank Chung is a senior journalist at news.com.au covering topics including local and international breaking news, politics, culture, media and technology. In his previous role as finance editor he wrote about economics, retail, industrial relations, small business, consumer affairs and real estate.

James joined news.com.au in 2014. As well as building a loyal readership through his reality TV recaps and popular Sunday newspaper column, he has turned his satirical eye to major news events – hitting the road to report on everything from federal elections to Harry and Meghan’s final royal tour.

Jack is a news reporter at news.com.au. He has worked in newsrooms in Queensland and Tasmania - most recently as a senior digital producer in Hobart. From courts to country footy, Jack has covered just about everything during his four years with News Corp Australia.

Chantelle started out her career in journalism covering rural news at The Weekly Times, where she once got to play with miniature donkeys for work - yes, they really exist! Since then, her career highlights have included travelling to the US and UK to learn about the journalism and publishing industries there. Carla Mascarenhas is a digital news producer and journalist at The Australian. She has worked as a producer, reporter and presenter for the ABC on the NSW mid-north coast and also as a reporter for The Port Macquarie News. She started at News Corp in 2020 with News Local before moving to The Australian. She holds a Master of Strategic Studies at ANU.

Nick has worked as an entertainment journalist for more than 15 years online, in print, and across television and radio. Before joining news.com.au’s entertainment team, his roles included working in London as Attitude Magazine's online editor, and for Channel 7’s Sunday Night current affairs program. Prior to that, he held a long-running position as the entertainment editor of Australia's most respected LGBTQA publication, the Star Observer.

Lexie Cartwright has worked as a journalist since 2013, beginning her career as a crime reporter at the Gold Coast Bulletin, before moving to the Courier-Mail in Brisbane and landing at news.com.au as an entertainment writer in Sydney in 2019. Lexie was a finalist for NewsCorp's Young Journalist of the Year award in 2016 and as a reward was sent on secondment to London where she covered international events including the Manchester Arena bombing, London Bridge terror attack and Grenfell Tower Fire.

Christine Estera is an entertainment journalist with more than 15 years experience in the industry. She joined news.com.au as an Entertainment Reporter in March 2023. Earlier in her career, she worked on Cosmopolitan, NW, TV Soap and Foxtel magazines before making the move to digital media. Christine was a Senior Producer at Nine from 2018 to 2023, where she covered local and international entertainment news and interviewed countless celebrities for 9Honey Celebrity and nine.com.au.

Bronte began her career as a journalist 12 years ago, working casual shifts at a local ABC radio station while completing her Bachelor of Journalism. From there, she went on to cover news and entertainment at major media outlets including Channel Nine, Nova Entertainment and Southern Cross Austereo in a variety of roles. Bronte joined the entertainment team at news.com.au in 2016.

Rebekah spent a decade working on real-life magazines before making the move to digital. When she's not in the office, she's usually trying her hardest to lift heavy things at the gym or dreaming about her next trip to Burning Man. Her proudest journalist moment was interviewing Chris Hemsworth and yes, she can confirm he's even better looking in real life.

Natalie graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism from Queensland's University of Technology before becoming the youngest member of the news.com.au team. She spent her university days interning at Vogue and Brisbane's Style magazine and worked as an editorial assistant and contributor at digital publication for young women, WinWin magazine. Claudia began her career as a trainee at Daily Mail Australia, where she worked across news, entertainment, lifestyle, social desk and enjoyed a secondment in Scotland before leaving to join Take 5 magazine. Jasmine has worked in media since 2017, after graduating with a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Queensland and a Master's in Communication from the University of Western Australia. Sarah Sharples has been a journalist for more than 10 years covering business, food, music, politics, careers and local news. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Journalism) and a Bachelor of Law at the University of Technology. Her career was kicked off at a number of business titles, before moving to NewCorp Australia's NewsLocal newspapers. She has returned from a five-year adventure working as a reporter and editor in the UK and joined news.com.au as finance editor in 2020.

Alex Turner-Cohen has been working in news since her second year of university after tweeting her way into the industry. She is a finance reporter at news.com.au, covering all things money including company collapses, property and fraud. Before that, she worked as a general news reporter at news.com.au and 7NEWS. Joey is news.com.au’s sports editor. He’s been living out his dream in sports media since 2015. After studying journalism at the University of Technology Sydney, Joey interned at The Daily Telegraph’s sports section. From there he worked at NRL.com, Sporting News, Men’s Health, Yahoo Sports and 7NEWS before joining the news.com.au sports team in 2022.

After finishing a sports journalism degree at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst, Tyson joined The Daily Telegraph as a sports reporter with a focus on the NRL and AFL before moving to the position of sports editor at mX Newspaper in Sydney. He has covered everything from Tiger Woods' chipping to wood-chopping.

Sports reporter Andrew McMurtry has been a journalist for more than a decade, writing across film and television, media and sport.
